PRESENTATION OF ACTION PLANS ON NEGOTIATIONS CHAPTERS 23&24 - Brussels, October 8-9, 2015
On October 8-9, 2015 a Serbian Team traveled to Brussels in aim to present the Actions Plans on Negotiation Chapters 23 and 24 to representatives of EU Members States. Serbian delegation was composed out of Tanja Miščević, Chief Negotiator for Serbia’s accession negotiations with the EU, Čedomir Backović, Assistant Minister of Justice and Chief of the Negotiating Group on Chapter 23, Aleksandar Nikolić, State Secretary of the Ministry of Interior and Chief of the Negotiating Group on Chapter 24, and Milica Vučković, MDTF-JSS Consultant for Outreach and Communication. On October 9th, 2015 the Serbian representatives on informal meeting presented the Action Plans on Negotiation Chapters 23 and 24 to members of Working Party on Enlargement and Countries Negotiating Accession to the Union - (COELA). Considering the fact that the Action Plan on Chapter 23 has been confirmed by European Commission, Mr. Backović presented the main parts of AP for Ch 23 related to strengthening of judiciary independence and impartiality, establishment of the institutional system for fight against corruption, as efficient implementation of National Minority Action Plan. Representatives of EU Members States asked many questions related to Action Plans for Chapters 23 an 24, and commended Serbia for the efforts it made during preparation of these Action Plans. Ms. Milica Vučković informed Serbian journalist in Brussels about the meeting, prepared the press conference for representatives of Serbian delegation, coordinated media statements of Serbian delegation representatives and monitored media announcements.
