Justice in Serbia 2013 - A Multi-Stakeholder Perspective

On March 21, the World Bank's Multi-Donor Trust Fund for Justice Sector Support (MDTF-JSS) hosted a workshop at the World Bank Office in Belgrade to present the preliminary findings from the multi-stakeholder survey on perseptions of justice in Serbia. This survey, commissioned by the MDTF-JSS and implemented by the IPSOS, was carried out during December 2013. The survey is a follow-up to the survey done in 2010 and focuses on the efficiency, quality of services, accessibility, fairness, integrity, costs in the justice sector and reform expectations. For the purpose of this survey, judges, prosecutors, members of the general public, business sector representatives, members of the legal profession working in private practice, and judicial employees were polled.

The workshop was attended by representatives of the High Judicial Council, Ministry of Justice and Public Administration and Administrative Office of the State Prosecutorial Council.

The MDTF-JSS team in cooperation with IPSOS plans to further diseminate survey results. There will be four more presentations until the end of April 2014, out of which two would take place outside of Belgrade.
